The following changes have been made to SmileMe.In Portal: 

  • The performance of sending emails from the portal is enhanced  
  • School admins can create a calendar of events to publish the calendar of the year to employees and guardians

  • Version 3.0 of our facial recognition algorithm is launched

Update [10/26/2021]: The new updated facial recognition algorithm we have launched in this release will only work for any new customer that registers on or after 10/22/2021.

For existing customer accounts, we are developing a migration tool to be able to migrate them to the new algorithm. We will announce it when it’s available. please contact us at if you have any questions or want to be on the list of early adaptors.

How to start your GO Handheld Thermal Scanner?

  • Power-on the device without plugin it to a power source
  • A count down will show on the screen before the device warms-up
  • Once the device is ready, you may plug it to a power source

Device is plugged into a power source but temperature sensors aren’t working?

  • Please un-plug the device from the power source
  • Restart the device without the charger being plugged-in
  • The Application should start then a count-down will show on the screen before the device warms-up
  • Once the device is ready , you may re-plug it to a power source.

Interactive Requests – Schools

We have just rolled out a new feature called “Interactive requests”.

This feature will help teachers and schools connect with parents through the phone app “School Co”.

This feature will allow school teachers to create instant questions or interactions that they want the parents to respond to directly.

Interactive requests will allow teachers and administrators at schools create a question with multiple choices and those questions will be targeted to a specific classroom or a specific set of children or students. The parents of those students will be receiving those questions on their phones and will see the choices and they will be able to make their choices by a specific deadline.

 After making their choices those choices will immediately show up for the teachers so they can implement whatever the parents have chosen for their children.

How to create a request?

The way the feature works is as following:

  1. First go to the “School Co” app
  2. Click on Interactive requests from the side menu.
  3. Click Add New Request at the bottom
  4. Choose which location this will be targeted to then choose the room
  5. Then choose the list of students the questions will be sent to (or their parents in the case of young children)
  6. Select the deadline date and time by which the parents need to respond by
  7. Enter the questions
  8. Add the list of choices then hit submit

This is a feature that we think will allow for greater communication between schools and parents.
